Giving by us

Each year St Luke’s donates 10% of its unrestricted income to charity. The total amount is divided equally among a small number, usually between 8 and 10, of Christian charities. Recent beneficiaries have been:

     Scripture Union
     Bible Society
     Embrace the Middle East
     Compassion
     Mercy Ships
     Tearfund
     Tools With a Mission, and
     Ykids

Also members have opportunities to donate cash or gifts to charities at various times. Examples are
There is a weekly collection of groceries for Southport Soup Kitchen.
At Lent the money given has in recent years supported the work of Our friends at Shyira and a school in Lima, Peru.

giving to us

If you would like to help support the work we do in Formby and elsewhere we invite you to make a donation here. You can tell us if the gift is to be used for a specific purpose and we will endeavour to honour your wishes.

If you are a UK tax payer please consider allowing us to reclaim the income tax paid on your gift. It doesn’t cost you anything but increases the value of your gift by 25%. If you pay income tax at a higher rate then declaring gift aided money on your tax return increases the higher rate tax threshold and so reduces your tax bill.
